bOULWARE sPRINGS PARK
gainesville, florida
Boulware Springs Nature Park is located on the Gainesville-Hawthorne trail. The land holds the historic Water Works building, which was the original source of water for Gainesville and the University of Florida, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The City of Gainesville initiated a study phase to identify ways to better integrate the nature park, historic building, parking area, and trailhead. The eventual project would also seek to renovate the building to return it to a condition to allow for event rentals and use as an educational facility.
Working with our Civil Engineering, Architectural, and Landscape Architecture partners, CSEI assisted in this master planning effort by identifying future mechanical, electrical and plumbing infrastructural needs and an existing conditions assessment for the current facilities such that the full extent of the future project scope could be identified and quanitfied for future planning purposes.
