Queen of Peace

Gainesville, Florida

The CSEI team provided comprehensive MEPF design and construction services for Queen of Peace's new Family Life Building. This transformative project expands the school with essential classroom facilities and a versatile event space ideal for wedding receptions and various celebrations.

To optimize operational efficiency, especially during periods of reduced occupancy, our team engineered a state-of-the-art air handling system. This innovative design integrates variable refrigerant flow (VRF) cooling technology with a centralized central station air handling unit. This approach not only enhances energy efficiency but also streamlines maintenance by consolidating all systems into a single mechanical room. Despite centralization, our design prioritizes reliability with redundant systems and individual VAV zoning for each classroom and event area. This ensures precise control over environmental comfort, accommodating diverse occupant needs and enhancing the building's flexibility.

Furthermore, the installation of advanced LED lighting systems equipped with individual digital controls and dimming capabilities allows for tailored ambiance and aesthetic customization across different event spaces. This feature supports varying uses and enhances user experience, making the Family Life Building a standout venue for a wide range of gatherings.
