Campbell Spellicy Engineering provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design services for a 3,000 sq. ft. restaurant renovation, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Our HVAC work involved modifying the existing supply and return ductwork from rooftop units, optimizing airflow with new diffusers and grilles, and rebalancing airflows to meet updated zoning requirements. A new kitchen hood with Ansul fire protection was integrated by the owner's vendor, while existing exhaust systems in restrooms were evaluated for continued use.
Electrical upgrades included modifying general power and data/low-voltage systems to support the reconfigured space. We replaced outdated lighting with energy-efficient LED fixtures and ensured seamless integration with existing distribution panels. Additional branch panels and circuits were added to accommodate new indoor and outdoor loads, maintaining the existing service, metering, and grease trap configurations.
For plumbing, we extended domestic water, grease, and sanitary/vent piping systems to serve new fixtures while retaining the existing site piping, services, and metering configurations. Our strategic approach allowed for a seamless renovation that optimized functionality while preserving essential infrastructure.
